Instagram Mistakes That Destroy Your Brand!

Instagram is a great way to promote your brand and grow your business. Most people make a loooot of mistakes on Instagram though and that's why their brand is struggling. Here are 6 DONT'S for Instagram!

1. Follow For Follow

Everyone has used this hashtag at least once in their life. Don't get me wrong, you will gain a few followers that way but the problem is they don't follow you because they genuinely like your brand and want to buy your products or visit your blog. They will be ''ghosties'' as they are called. You will basically have a lot of followers who most likely won't like or comment on your pictures which makes them pointless. Make sure you are using the right hashtags to target the right audience.

2. Buying Followers

Buying followers is a big no no for Instagram. Firstly, you're waisting your money because as I said earlier they are pointless. They won't like your picture or help your account in anyway. Also, most of your actual followers will realize that these followers are fake and it will make them leave because they want to follow people who keep it real.

3. Spamming

Let's say you have found a blogger that you are obsessed about. If you spam them with direct messages and comments like ''Omg I love you can you please follow the and give me a shoutout!!!!'' they will most likely never respond to you simply because it is annoying. Instead of spamming people, you should send a professional message to them which they will definitely appreciate.

4. Over Posting

Yes, being consistent is key to growing your brand but don't overdo is. Your should post 2-3 times per day but if you over post it will look like spam and people will not appreciate it. Post less times but keep your content in high quality.

5. Not posting enough

Over posting is not good but posting 2 times per week will not help either. Have a schedule and post at least once a day so your followers know you're still there.

6. Being TOO personal

Sure, you're followers should see a note personal side of you so they like you more and trust you which will lead them to buy your products which is the whole point. But keep your dog pictures and selfies for your personal account for your family and friends to enjoy. Because after all your account focuses on your business.
