Slay Denim on Denim!

Denim on denim is a trend that is finally coming back and I'm loving it! Throwing a denim jacket on while wearing jeans or a denim pair of shorts will turn your outfit from 0 to hero! And if you are not convinced yet that this trend is everything, Gigi & Bella Hadid also agree and that should be enough haha.

What I personally love about denim on denim is that it gives an edgy vibe to the outfit. As you can see in these pictures, I am wearing my black tank top with my all time favorite high waisted pair of jean shorts which is an average outfit. I then threw a denim jacket with different patches on it and it completely transformed my look from basic to yassss!

Any denim item is the easiest thing to style. Honestly, whether you want a chic, edgy or just girl outfit denim will do! No wonder why this trend is coming back after all these years and no wonder why it is a fashion trend that everyone loves and tries out.

Another way to style denim on denim would be with a long sleeves denim shirt inside of a pair of long high waisted jeans. Another way would be with a denim skirt. Denim skirts are really in right now especially if they are high waisted and have a few buttons on the front. Pairing your denim skirt with a plain shirt, tank top or crop top and a denim jacket on top would make you look bomb!

It is also a unisex trend. Guys can definitely rock the denim on denim trend by wearing long pair of jeans (if they are ripped, even better) a plain white, black or grey top and a pair of snickers.

BUT, denim on denim can sometimes be tricky. If you paired all of the items I talked about earlier correctly then it will look fabulous! One small mistake though could turn the whole outfit into a fail just like Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears back in the day.

If you are just starting out with this trend you should definitely play with colors but you shouldn't use any denim accesories because they are risky. Use different denim shades instead of wearing the same all over and looking too matchy.
